There are a few people in Hollywood who I admire because they are not afraid to include their faith and what they stand for into their work, one of them being Tyler Perry. Faith is seamlessly into his characters' lives, in a way that many movies just don't do. When asked what is the role of faith in work? he answered: " I don't know why is never talked about in films. There are people [making films] that believe, but they do it in the closet. They believe very quietly. There is this huge separation of church and state. I am not afraid to mix the two. I'm not afraid to have a character say "I'm a christian" or "I believe in God", because I think they represent real people on this earth.
I totally agree, and can totally relate to his perspective.
