"The man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder -- waif, a nothing, a no man. Have a purpose in life, and, having it, throw such strength of mind and muscle into your work as God has given you." Thomas Carlyle
Many are guided by guilt, anger, resentment, fear, need of being accepted, materialism (which by the way, cannot buy happiness, money comes and goes and there are plenty of wealthy people committing suicide and attached to addictions trying to fill up the emptiness that their money can't) etc, they are all dead-ends.
I have made glorifying God my guide and purpose. knowing your purpose stimulates your life (on earth and after). I encourage everyone to find theirs.
